Tychem® 5000 fabric is made of a multi-layer film barrier bonded to a durable 2.0 oz/yd² polypropylene substrate. This fabric is strong and resilient, designed for demanding tasks and harsh environments involving liquid splashes, while providing a barrier against a wide range of chemicals. Common applications include chemical handling, petrochemical industries, hazardous materials/waste cleanup, fire departments, industrial hazmat teams, utilities, and domestic preparedness. It is frequently used in situations where there is a potential exposure to chemicals.
